BonaGany, Inc, provides property management services for off-campus student housing in the Village of Allegany. The non-profit was established to build positive relationships between Saint Bonaventure University (SBU), their Students and the Residents of Allegany. BonaGany’s intention is to ensure that Students, Landlords and their own property management company are accountable to each other and to the community they reside. A strong emphasis is placed on providing community service projects for our student tenants to participate in. These service projects allow students and community members an opportunity to works side by side with each other.
Mission Statement
BonaGany's goals are many and their opportunities are limitless. The Non-Profit 501-C “BonaGany, Inc.” believes that Allegany and SBU benefit greatly from their shared existence and prosperity. They will continue to move their mission forward with help from local independent contractors, student Interns, and other local non-profits.
Their Student Interns apply classroom learning to real world work experiences that support SBU’s values of compassion, wisdom and integrity. Hard working and dedicated independent contractors facilitate the renovation and continued maintenance of our properties. Local non-profits provide them an opportunity to give back to our community and foster positive relationships amongst their stake holders. As stated, their opportunities are limitless and here are some of them:
- Create sought after rewarding internship opportunities. Their Student Interns assist them in all aspects of BonaGany property management.
Offering community service projects for the Students of SBU to participate in
- These service projects allow students and community members a opportunity to works side by side with each other.
- All BonaGany leases require student tenants to provide two hours of community service each semester or donate $100 per academic year to community non-profits.
- Continue to improve and be accountable as an off-campus student housing property manager.
- Help maintain a living space that will enrich a student’s college experience and beautify our community.
- Maintain a due process for adjudicating complaints between local landlords, students and BonaGany (as property manager) so all are accountable to each other and the community they reside.
- Financially support other local non-profits, who promote causes that benefit our shared SBU/Allegany community.
- Take advantage of greater economic scale which is created by uniting landlords. This scale creates many opportunities to cost effectively improve their services.
- Utilize efficient online technology to assist in servicing all aspects of property management.
- Create greater price transparency and fairer competition amongst landlords, by requiring one standardized all-inclusive lease for our properties.
